A Sèvres Porcelain Sugar Bowl and Cover and a Mustard Pot Stand (Sucrier ovale and Plateau moutardier) from the Service presented by Louis XV to Empress Maria Theresa of Austria, circa 1758
painted with a garland of flowers overlaid with entwined gilt scallop-edged green ribbons, with gilt scalloped edged dentil rim, interlaced LL marks in blue enclosing date letter E for 1758, painter's mark P for Philippe Parpette (active at Vincennes and Sèvres between 1755-1757, 1773-1806), indistinct incised mark to sugarbowl, possibly f.p, incised bc to mustard pot stand
