vibrantly painted with interlaced undulating burgundy ribbons and a blue zig-zag motif, enriched with gilding, edged by berried laurel, with blue-gilt-lined bands at the rims, the cover applied with a flower finial, interlaced LL mark in blue enclosing date letter K for 1763, painter's mark for Antoine-Louis Fontelliau (active at Vincennes and Sèvres between 1753-1782), incised OO mark
