of the first size, with a powdery lavender-pink ground overlaid with trails of gilt-outlined mauve flowers and green leaves, alternating with puce-pink zig-zag lines and gilt-husks separated by green vertical bands, the gilt-edged rims with bands of claret-coloured lozenges between blue-grey dots, the center of the saucer with a gilt-outlined spray of flowers, the scroll handle picked out in gilding with florets, crowned interlaced LL marks in purple enclosing date letter Z for 1777, painter's mark Decambos (active at Sèvres between 1776-88), indistinct incised marks to cup
