A George II Gray-Painted Oak Hall Settee in the manner of William Kent, Circa 1740
en suite with lot 10; with a fielded panelled back surmounted by a broken foliate ornamented scrolled pediment with central shell above a Vitruvian scroll frieze centered by a female mask with pendant husks below; the outwardly curved arms with scrolled terminals above foliate carved supports; the seat similarly panelled and supported on eight leaf-carved cabriole legs terminating in hoof feet; now later-painted stone gray
