centered by crowned fleur-de-lys cartouche flanked by acanthus scrolls and floral sprays on a chocolate-brown ground, restoration and reweaving; the side and lower cabochon borders replaced
approximately 13 ft. 6 in. by 7 ft. 3 in.;

Commissioned by Louis XIV to furnish the Grand Galerie au bord de l'eau in the Palais du Louvre, Paris, c.1668-1688, probably a fragment from carpet no. 66 delivered on 3 May 1680;
