of the second size, finely painted with rectangular panels of chinoiserie figures at various pursuits in stylized garden landscapes, with gilt borders, separated by gilt-oval medallions reserving a small bird and foliate scroll arabesques, within terracotta-ground bands, gilt-rims, Sèvres script marks in blue, the cup with painter's mark for Jean-Jacques Dieu (active at Sèvres between 1776-98, 1801-05), the cup with indistinct incised and impressed letters
