the cup of oviform with gilt bracket handles, painted in shades of pink, blue and green with arabesques and perfume burners or braziers, reserved within gilt lines, the black further gilt along the rim with fretwork, gilt rims, interlaced LL marks in blue, the cup with mark enclosing date letters nn for 1790, painter's mark probably for Pierre-André Vielliard, fils (active at Sèvres between 1784-93), gilder's mark FM for François Miret (active at Sèvres between 1787-92), indistinct incised marks
