Description

finely painted in purple monochrome on each side with a European river landscape scene with figures, woods and buildings, within Böttger-lustre, puce and gilt scroll-edged shaped quatrefoil cartouches, and scattered sprigs of indianische Blumen beneath a gilt scrollwork border around the shoulder, the cover with a continuous scene of figures in a harbour, crossed swords mark in underglaze-blue, incised / to inside edge of footrim
