reserved on either side of the écuelle, and around the cover and stand, with quatrefoil shaped cartouches painted in Kakiemon style with a bird and flowering plants, or sprays of indianische Blumen, the double-scroll handles and finial picked out in gilding, brown-edged rims, crossed swords marks in underglaze-blue
