Description

comprising:

a Saint-Cloud snuff box in the form of a seated pagoda figure, the robe moulded in low relief with flowering plants and a small winged insect, the hinged cover painted on both sides with stylized chinoiserie figures in a garden, the interior with two small insects and a leaf, the mount with Paris discharge mark for 1750-56, date letter K for 1750, maker’s mark Dd (?);

and four Mennecy snuff boxes in the form of: 

a reclining shepherd with hound, the mount with Paris discharge mark for 1750-56 and other unclear Paris marks;

a pug dog, the mount with Paris discharge mark for 1762-68;

a swan, the mount with discharge mark apparently a tête de chérubin for 1780-89;

and a dromedary camel, the mount unmarked but with a 19th century control mark,

their hinged covers moulded in low relief with small flower sprigs
