with two drawers to the frieze and two slides to the sides, decorated with rosaces in geometrical forms, with a red leather writing top, stamped M·G CRAMER and JME; (some bronzes re-gilt)

Mathieu-Guillaume Cramer, cabinetmaker, received master in 1771.

 

A tric trac table by Cramer of this model and with identical parquetry decoration was sold from the collection of Lady Ashburnham, Sotheby’s London, 26 June 1953, lot 108.
