Only edition of a polemical treatise by the Augustinian theologian Sanudo, in which doctrinal controversies are presented in the form of a dialogue between a heretic and a Catholic.


4to (200 x 150 mm). Roman type, 28 lines plus headline. collation: A-Z4 AA-CC4: 104 leaves. Woodcut Aldine device to title- page and verso of last leaf, historiated initials, large capitals in initial spaces, guide letters in initial spaces. (Dampstained throughout, with resulting dimpling.)


binding: Eighteenth-century paper boards (206 x 154 mm), title in ink on spine, red speckled edges. (Worn, spine damaged with some loss, covers soiled.)
