First edition of this detailed account of the 1485-86 baronial conspiracy against King Ferdinand I of Naples. This can be distinguished from a contemporary counterfeit edition by the number in the first line of the last page (75 rather than 73) (see the following lot).


4to (201 x 144 mm). Roman type, 32 lines plus headline. collation: *4 A-X4 Y4: 92 leaves. Woodcut Aldine device on title- page. (Repaired wormhole to title, intermittent spotting.)


binding: Contemporary limp vellum (207 x 146 mm), traces of two pairs of silk ties, red edges. (Worming to upper and lower pastedowns, a few small wormholes to covers, a little creased and soiled.)
