The Collectorum is the most extensive surviving work of Oribasius, the fourth century Greek physician, and is composed of excerpts of the more important writings of the Greek physicians.
8vo (160 x 98 mm). Roman and italic type, 38 lines plus headline. collation: *4 A-Z8 a-z8 &8: 380 leaves. Woodcut Aldine device on title-page, woodcut historiated initials, a few instances of early marginalia. (Worming, restored in lower margin of first two signatures, generally not affecting text, a few stray spots.)
binding: Early nineteenth-century vellum (170 x 107 mm), gilt-lettered tan morocco label to spine, marbled endpapers. (Some spots and soiling.)
