A Pair of Louis XVI Giltwood Marquises by Georges Jacob, Circa 1780


each with leaf-tip carved crest rail and piastre carved armrests; the beaded seat rails raised on circular stop-fluted tapering legs; covered in pale blue silk damask; each stamped G.IACOB once and B.C. four times to underside of seat rail
