the rectangular backs with scrolled armrests and carved wiith rais de coeur and beading; the seat rails carved with piastres; on circular tapering stop-fluted legs; covered in pale blue and white silk with figural motifs; the underside of one side rail with fragmentary printed label LE GARDE MfEUBLE PUB[LIC] 18; painted decoration refreshed; slight variation in width
