Description

each densely chiselled with a naturalistic scrolling floral ground, bearing medallions with single flowering plants overlaid with silver, decorative elements outlined with overlaid gold, the helmet further decorated with small birds and the shield with quadrupeds within cartouches, borders on both comprising Persian verses from Firdausi's Shahnameh, the helmet with original butted mail, the underside lined with red textile, the shield with four applied bosses, the reverse with four suspension loops
