Jars of this 'hundred bats' design are rare. Comparable examples include one in the Tokyo National Museum, from the Yokogawa Collection, accession no. TG-902; another in the Glasgow Museums, from the Burrell Collection, accession no. 38.475; and a further example in the Matsuoka Museum of Art, Minato, published in Toyo toji meihin toroku [Masterpieces of Oriental Ceramics], Tokyo, 1991, pl. 95.
