8vo (151 x 94 mm). Italic type, 29 lines plus headline. collation: A-N8 O4: 108 leaves. Woodcut Aldine device on title-page, portrait of Aldo the Elder on verso. (Scattered light dampstaining, small loss to margin of title, which is starting to separate.)


binding: Contemporary vellum (153 x 101 mm), traces of two pairs of leather ties, two bands piercing spine at head and tail, fourteenth-century manuscript leaf used as binder's support. (Slightly soiled and darkened, a few wormholes, lacking endleaves, first few quires becoming loose.)


provenance: Unidentified owner, inscription "Gl. Rosse" on title-page (17th century?) — unidentified owner, inscription "3019 1706 20 juni/F" at foot of last page. acquisition: Purchased from Kenneth Karmiole, Santa Monica, 2013. references: UCLA 836; Renouard 213/10; Edit16 27465; USTC 862224
