8vo (161 x 96 mm). Italic type with some Greek, 30 lines plus headline. collation: *8 A-Z8 aa-cc8: 216 leaves (*6 blank). Woodcut Aldine device on title-page and final verso. (Intermittent faint marginal dampstaining, a few dark stains, short closed tear to Z4.)
binding: Sixteenth-century Nuremberg pigskin over pasteboards (169 x 108 mm), tooled in blind, roll around border of Jacob's Ladder, Sacrifice of Isaac, and the Resurrection and vertical roll in center Lucretia, Venus, Prudentia (Haebler, I, 166, no. 6 & 3, assigned to Nuremberg workshop of C.H. (either Caspar Herman, d. 1588, or Christoph Hensler, fl. 1570s). (Extremities darkened and rubbed, repairs to corners and tail of spine, endleaves and pastedowns renewed, front joint starting.)
