8vo (150 x 94 mm). Italic type, 30 lines plus headline. collation: a4 b-n8: 100 leaves. Woodcut Giunta device on final verso. (Blue edge stain visible on some pages, including title, small marginal repair to title, occasional light spotting and soiling.)
binding: Contemporary Italian brown morocco over thin wooden boards (154 x 100 mm), tooled in blind, empty frame around sides, inner border between broad lines of repeated knotwork, in central panel a vertical arrangement of three lozenge-shaped arrangements of four knotwork tools, traces of two pairs of fabric ties, spine with four compartments with saltires formed by single fillet, edges stained blue, title on tail edge "VariFlacus." (Worn, spine and corners restored, hinges reinforced, light worming and a few paper repairs to pastedowns and endleaves.)
