Theodorus Prodromus. Galeomyomachia [Greek]. [Rome?: circa 1890 (facsimile reprint of Venice: Aldo Manuzio, about 1495-1498)]
An attractive facsimile of Prodromus's mock epic. According to T. Kimball Brooker, it was issued “probably in Rome, in an edition of about ten copies” ("Aldine editions were seen as very special throughout five centuries" in Gazette of the Grolier Club 70 (2020), pp. 25-48 (p. 44 & Fig. 7).
Folio (244 x 162 mm). Greek type, 24 lines. collation: α10: 10 leaves. (Ink annotation on verso of final leaf.)
binding: Patterned paper boards (255 x 168 mm). (Lightly rubbed, a few chips to spine and edges.)
