(Bound with:) Lombardelli, Orazio. Sopra il Goffredo del signor Torquato Tasso. Giudizio d'Orazio Lombardelli senese, Accademico Humoroso. Florence: Giorgio Marescotti, 1582
First editions of both works. In his entry for the Tasso, Gamba (no. 971) argues for an Aldine attribution, though Renouard does not mention this edition in his Annales des Alde. Gamba notes that the edition, dedicated by Giovanni Battista Licinio to Scipione Gonzaga, exhibits characteristics of Aldine printing: woodcut ornaments, typefaces matching Aldine editions of the period, and the same device found in Opera P. Manutii Adagia (Venice, Ex Unitorum Societate, 1585, 4°), which Renouard attributed to Aldo the Younger. However, Edit16 identifies the title-page device (Sole che scaccia le nuvole) as belonging to the Compagnia degli Uniti, active between 1583 and 1585. This group is associated with 19 editions, many bearing the imprints Ex Unitorum Societate or Appresso la Compagnia degli Vniti.
