8vo (150 x 99 mm). Italic type, 30 lines plus headline. collation: A-S8: 144 leaves. Woodcut Aldine device to title-page and verso of last leaf, guide letters in initial spaces. (Occasional light dampstaining and spotting.)


binding: Eighteenth-century vellum (157 x 111 mm), spine with five compartments, two brown morocco labels, gilt leaf and acorn in compartments, marbled endpapers, red and blue dappled edges. (Spine a little soiled, one label chipped at corner, small hole to front endpaper.)


provenance: Bartolomeo Vetturi, armorial ex libris (Bragaglia 451), with "Anno 1747" in ink to pastedown — ownership inscription "Anna Maria Campbell" to title-page — ownership inscription "C.
