rectangular with cut corners, the lid and base formed of agate panels in differnet shades of grey, cream and brown, the pattern not dissimilar to an abstract painting, the sablé sides finely chased with hunting dogs and birds within foliage and flowerheads, reeded gold borders with chased scrolling thumbpiece, apparently unmarked
