A Sèvres Porcelain Plate from the 'Service de Dessert Marly Rouge', circa 1809
painted at the centre with a butterfly reserved by a pale-blue ground within a colourful floral wreath bound with gilt ribbons against a gilt band, the gilt-edged, red-ground rim with a border of formal gilt foliage within two gilt lines, stenciled M.Imp.le/ de Sevres/ 1809 mark in iron-red, gilt Gje(?), incised L, and numeral 8
