modelled J.W. Götz, as a young couple, he taking her hand and putting his arm around her shoulder, a sheaf of corn at their feet, seated on rockwork before a purple and green-edged rocaille scroll support surmounted by a female bust, interlaced CC monogram mark in underglaze-blue


Height 23.5 cm; 9 ¼ in

The model is illustrated in Hans Dieter Flach, Ludwigsburger Porzellan, Fayence, Steingut, Kacheln, Fliesen, Stuttgart, 1997, p. 508, no. 56, and attributed to Johann Wilhelm Götz on p. 392. It was first created circa 1760-61.
