the first, a gold-mounted crystal bottle with a two-colour gold stopper chased as a classical urn, fastened with a chain to the sablé colour hung with laurel, Jean George, Paris, 1775-1776, 10.3 x 4.5 cm. 4 ¼ x 1 ⅞ in., maker’s mark, charge and discharge mark of Jean Baptise Fouache, Paris date letter M;
the second, a gold-mounted crystal scent bottle with a heart-shaped gold openwork stopper centred with a trophy of love en trois couleurs, Paris, 1772, illegible trace of maker’s mark and décharge, Paris date letter J, 9 x 4.9 cm; 3 ½ x 2 in.;
the third, a faceted crystal glass bottle of slightly earlier date, probably English, gold stopper with stylised plume finial, the collar engraved with scrollwork, apparently unmarked, 8 x 3.2 cm. 3 ⅛ x 1 ¼ in.
