Oval, the lid and bombé sides formed of amethystine quartz ranging from white to different hues of purple, the reeded gold mounts with a slender thumbpiece chased with a shell, hibou standard mark struck twice for 18 ct gold,

7 cm., 2 ¾ in. wide, overall weight 97 gr.
