Description
the rectangular snuff box, painted, possibly by Johannes Andreas Bechdolff, moulded in low relief with rocaille scroll and diaper panels, reserving small puce camaïeu landscapes of clusters of buildings in the countryside, the interior of the lid with a ruinous landscape, gilt-metal mounts;
the circular snuff box, painted, possibly by Karl Wohlfahrt, finely moulded in low-relief with flowering branches over basketwork, the interior lid painted in puce camaïeu with two musicians and an attendant within landscape, the underside of the box with a puce landscape, gilt-metal mounts
