Description
(Kentucky)
[Consecutive Run of the First Session Laws of the General Assembly of Kentucky]. Frankfort: 1817–1840
24 vols., 8vo (190 x 122 mm to 232 x 144 mm). Browned, foxed, and dampstained, a few open and closed tears affecting text, some with repairs, a few leaves loose and laid in. Variously bound in blue and beige cloth, spines with black morocco labels lettered in gilt, one with red morocco label as well, paper shelfmark labels to lower spines; variously soiled and sunned, with shelf wear, morocco slightly chipped.
An ex-library set of an impressive run of laws passed by the Kentucky General Assembly during the first session in each year from 1816 to 1839.
This is apparently a full set of works from this period, as there are no recorded imprints from other sessions of the state assembly during this time. Individual volumes from this collection are themselves rare on the market, and only a handful of institutions possess extended runs of this series of imprints.
Full listing of volumes and references available upon request.
