Persian manuscript on paper, 491 leaves, plus 3 fly leaves, 21 lines to the page written in nasta'liq in black ink, headings picked out in red, within gold and polychrome rules, f.1a with illuminated frontispiece, following bifolio illuminated in gold and polychrome framing text, the start of each text marked by a gold and polychrome illuminated headpiece, in lacquer binding, the binding signed Muhammad 'Ali and dated 1176 AH/1762-63 AD
