Description

each rectangular, the lids, sides and bases applied with shaped oval Japanese lacquer panels, the gold mounts variously engraved with flowers, chevron and other patterns, the patch box with a mirror-lined lid and fitted with a lidded compartment and a tortoiseshell-lined section now containing a brush with a blond tortoiseshell handle, the necessaire fitted with a travelling inkwell and a gold fountain pen in four parts, maker’s mark on each indistinct, charge and discharge marks of Eloi Brichard, date letters T and U, the patch box in a later tooled leather case,
