rectangular, the black lacquer panels representing birds and prunus, framed by floral bands in green enamel, the corners decorated with brightly-coloured raised enamel tulips, peonies and other flowers on a sablé ground, the interior lined with mother-of-pearl and mounted with gold pencil fastenings, later silk-bound paper carnet, maker's mark second initial S and undetermined différent, charge and discharge mark of Louis Robin, Paris date letter A for 1740,
