each painted with an interior scene of figures in conversation at a table, one titled 'LA BERGERE DES ALPES', the other 'CHEUREUSE NOUVELLE', within an elaborate gilt-scroll cartouche, the reverse with landscape scenes, signed Leber., in similar cartouches, the gilt-metal foliate-scroll handles with satyr masks and oak branch terminals, the domed covers with pinecone and acanthus leaf finials, both covers with spurious interlaced L's in blue and inscribed 'OFFERT PAR LE DUC DE ROHAN A S.M. MARIE ANTOINETTE', one with crown, letter A and 29 in brown enamel

together with a pair of white marble pedestals, each carved with a lion’s head
