rectangular, the lid and sides chased and engraved around a polished gold roundel applied with the Pahlavi cipher, slightly protruding thumbpiece and polished stepped footrim, the wood-lined interior with an inscription, marked for 18ct gold,

in a red leather case tooled with matching gold cipher,
