First English translation of De Remediis Utriusque Fortunae, known to nearly all the great writers of the Renaissance. The work contains chapters on dancing, gambling, wrestling, hunting & hawking, libraries, "elephantes & cammelles," alchemy, toothaches, gout, blindness, deafness, and lechery, etc.
