8vo (156 x 94 mm). Italic type, 29 lines plus headline. collation: A-X8 Y4: 172 leaves. Woodcut Aldine device to title-page and verso of last leaf, guide letters in initial spaces. (Intermittent light spotting, mainly marginal.)
binding: Northern Italian (Padua?) dark brown morocco, ca. 1543 (159 x 98 mm), frame of three gilt fillets flanked by multiple blind fillets, gilt double volute in corners, in center Fortuna on dolphin with sail, edges gilt and gauffered to a knotwork pattern. (Endleaves and pastedowns renewed, rebacked (by Zaehnsdorf in 1912), light wear to covers.) Housed in a half morocco box by Brockman.
