Benjamin Franklin
A Pocket Almanack for the Year 1765. Fitted to the Use of Pennsylvania, and the Neighbouring Provinces. With several useful additions. Philadelphia: Printed and Sold by B. Franklin and D, Hall, [1764]
24mo (101 x 55 mm). Woodcut borders and symbols, interleaved with blank leaves, unaccomplished; very light browning throughout, one closed tear to interleaf. Contemporary floral Buntpapier wrappers; slightly rubbed. Half morocco slipcase, fitted chemise.
First edition—the Laird Park copy. Franklin's Pocket Almanacks are fully as scarce as the Poor Richard series; this is only the second copy of the 1765 edition to appear at auction in 70 years.
