Second trade issue.
Printed by the author at Uraniborg in 1589 and completed by Kepler at Prague in 1602, this is the second issue with the Frankfurt title-page dated 1610, the engraved portrait added (wanting here). The first four leaves have been reset and the errata corrected up to page 16.
Thick 4to (229 x 179 mm). Numerous diagrams and tables, errata on terminal leaf; lacking the engraved portrait, some light dampstaining, occasional browning, small hole in corner of 3E1 and on 4P4, touching three words. Early rule-frame vellum with overlapping edges, faded early manuscript title at head of spine, later title and date added lower down the spine, blue-green edges; somewhat soiled and slightly frayed at head of spine, endleaves renewed.
