the hexagonal reticulated box and cover of three tiers, silvered finial, the bottom tier on three prong feet, decorated in coloured enamels and gilt over a transparent glaze on a crackled cream ground, with peonies on scrolling karakusa, pierced with shippo motif openwork, the cover pierced in the form of a stylised chrysanthemum flowerhead, accompanied with a fitted wood storage box
