the large deep circular dish with slightly everted foliate rim on ring foot, decorated in underglaze blue with a rural scene depicting two thatched dwellings raised on stilts beside a cascading waterfall, a bird in flight above, large pine trees overhanging, towering mountains in the distance, the interior of the rim decorated with peonies on scrolling karakusa, the flat rim with key fret pattern, white raised rim, the underside decorated with further peonies and karakusa scrolls, three spur marks to the interior of the ring foot, accompanied with a fitted wood storage box
