each side painted, in the manner of J. G. Höroldt, with figures in a garden, with small butterflies, birds and insects above, in recessed panels divided by gilt bands, the cover with a four-petal flower motif with gilt scrolls reserved against Böttger-lustre, traces of crossed swords mark in blue
