the beaker painted with a continuous scene of chinoiserie figures at various pursuits in a garden, including a lady seated at a low table drinking tea facing a monkey perched on a pedestal, the stand, with branches of indianische Blumen, gilt-scrollwork borders at the rims and concentric circles in iron-red to underside of stand, crossed swords mark in purple enamel to beaker
