A group of Meissen porcelain Hausmaler dishes and plates, the porcelain circa 1735-50, the decoration third quarter of the 18th century

decorated, in the workshop of F. Mayer of Pressnitz, comprising:

a large circular dish, painted with a scene of a harbourside city with figures in the foreground within a gilt-edged cartouche, the shaped rim with basketweave-moulded panels and painted with four flower panels within between panels of gilt-edged flowerheads, crossed swords mark in underglaze-blue, impressed numeral 21, incised /// to inside edge of footrim

and fifteen plates and a circular deep dish, with various scenes of cities with towers, some with figures in the foreground and with hills or mountains in the distance, within a gilt-edged shaped cartouche, the rims painted with a bird perched on a branch, two sprays of flowers, and another of fruit, crossed swords marks in underglaze-blue, one plate and circular deep dish with impressed numeral, one plate with dreher’s mark of two circles to inside edge of footrim
