painted with scenes of European landscapes with figures by quaysides or in the countryside, within iron-red, puce and gilt scroll-edged shaped quatrefoil cartouches, with miniature figures within the frames in puce, the interiors of the teabowls with small flower spays, and three small sprigs to the undersides of the saucers, gilt-scroll borders, gilt-rims, crossed swords marks in underglaze-blue, gilt letter T. and dot to all pieces, incised / to inside edge of footrims
