A French faience water jug and basin, probably second-half 18th century, probably Sceaux

moulded in low-relief with feathered borders picked out in blue and gilding, each painted with large vignettes of elegant couples in landscape, the hinged cover with gilt-metal mount, surmounted with a fruit knop, painted with a smaller vignette of a recumbent lamb, gilt-edged rims; together with a pair of French faience bottle the coolers, probably 19th century, of lobed form, with moulded feathered rims picked out in purple and blue, each affixed with two leafy handles, and painted with flower sprays and smaller sprigs
