Typed letter signed "A. Einstein" to Mrs. David Wing of Greenway, Viriginia, dated 6 November, 1947, thanking her for answering his letter, a statement sent by the Emergency Committee of Atomic Scientists about the necessity for international controls on atomic energy, and referencing an "Atlantic" article by Cord Meyer, a reprint of which Einstein is enclosing. 1-page typed letter on Emergency Committee of Atomic Scientists stationery (272 x 210 mm, to sight); old folds, faint uneven sun-toning, a few minor creases around the edges. In a gilt frame, with a photographic portrait of Einstein smoking his pipe. Not examined out of frame.
