Description

tapered oval form with push button and suspension loop, both sides chased with cartouches with classical figures in high relief, on side with a seated female figure, the other with a male figure holding a spear, surrounded by profuse rocaille ornament, the fitted interior complete with implements comprising a gold-handled steel-bladed knife, a gold-capped pencil, a gold-ended ear scoop, later scissors with post-1838 gold mark, tweezers writing slip now missing
