the spherical lid opening to reveal a tabernacle section with stepped and mirrored central niche with a glass painting of a neoclassical building flanked by two faux-rusticated gothic-arched colonnaded niches with sprung drawers below; above a removable double tier of open and lidded compartments with further well below with five sprung secret drawers; raised on a round column with gilt gesso capital and hexagonal socle on a concave triangular base with scrolled ends
